Golf Excellence Program

The overall Golf Excellence Program is a progressive systematic program based on specific individual goals with a commitment to long term improvement to become a highly competitive player. It is adaptable for the avid golfer with long term views progressing towards tournament golf. The one-week introductory program can be extended to a four-week, twelve-week and twelve month program.

The aims and objectives of the program are to establish a foundation that can progress systematically to long term improvement. The one-week course will analyse swing faults and define drills and practise needs for correction. It will include short game analysis, practise techniques, targeting and course management skills.

The four-week program will be an extension of the one-week program. It will be goal orientated and based on periodization to gain maximum benefits over a short term. It will include an outline of the benefits of including strength and conditioning programs to support swing technique improvements. You will also learn how to keep playing statistics and use them to define strengths and weaknesses.

The twelve-week program has been established for the serious golfer with a view towards tournament golf. It will incorporate intensive practise plans to consolidate and strengthen swing technique and will be totally goal orientated. The course will be an extension of the four-week program upgrading skills in ball striking and shot making abilities.

Professional Intensive Golf Program

The Oz Golf Institute has been established to provide a pathway for the advanced player seeking a career as a Professional Golfer.

The Professional Intensive Golf Program is designed to the players' specific needs. The program will identify the players' weaknesses in the areas of:

  • Playing Ability
  • Swing Technique
  • Physical and Mental Ability
  • Course Management Skills
  • Practise Schedules
  • Tournament Preparation.

Each program will involve a process of establishing defined goals, scheduling practise and fitness sessions to enhance the swing technique changes and refining skills testing techniques to prepare the player for tournament golf

Players in this program will receive personal tuition from a fully qualified Australian PGA Professional. The weekly schedule will include:

  • 10 hours of tuition per week
  • I x 18 hole round with the Professional (in a Pro-Am where possible)
  • 2 x 9 hole playing lessons Unlimited range balls for private practise
  • Access to all teaching aids and equipment
  • Green fees for playing lessons

The tuition program will focus on swing technique in the various sections of the game (long and short game, specialty shots etc.), while the playing lessons will develop course management skills. The program offers unlimited range balls to maintain the scheduled practise routines and also offers the use of all teaching aids and equipment that the Institute has to offer to further develop the players skills.

By the end of the program the player will have a complete understanding of what is expected to prepare for a career in professional golf.

The length and cost of the program will depend on the players' current ability, the players' goals and the time allowed to progress to the players' full potential.

Each program can be adapted to accommodate the players' needs, time available and current budget. The Institute will offer ongoing support and maintain records of each player for future development.

General Individual Program

This program is designed to give individual attention. The maximum group is no more than three students to one professional.

The program includes:

  • 3 hours of golf tuition
  • Video analysis
  • Swing technique
  • Short game
  • Course management techniques
  • 18 holes playing tuition
  • Your choice of great golf courses
  • Personalized attention

Your host professional is a full member of the Australian PGA and will escort you to the course.
